Session 2:
Speaker, Joni S. Mantell, LCSW

This workshop is for adoptive parents and for any professionals who work with children in this age group.

You will learn what issues are hard for children these ages to put into words, how to help the child answer questions about adoption, deal with peer and school issues, and how to keep family communication about adoption open and safe. The new Children's Life book Workshop will be discussed. Resources and books for children and parents will be shared.

Joni S. Mantell, LCSW is a psychotherapist with a specialty in adoption since 1993. She works with all members of the adoption triad, and this helps her to understand adoption from the perspective of both the child and the parent.

Seating is limited. Pre-registration is required and should be completed at least one week prior to the event. Payment must be received in order to confirm your registration. Cancellations must be received at least three days prior to the event.
